Eight-piece A Capella group B O D I E S have dropped their new single, ‘Please Don't Give Me What I Want’. The Berlin-based group have crafted an explorative sound that is increasingly hard to find in the exponentially technology-forward musical world. Their melodies are tender and beautiful, while their arrangements are simultaneously clever and accessible, with layers of harmony colliding effortlessly. The octet are playing in the UK in January 2025 and have released their self-titled debut album via Grönland. Band leader Kat Frankie says: “I’m not so interested in producing the homogenised sound you might usually expect of a choir: to get the best out of everyone there needs to be some room for individuality, and what I hope we’ve done is build a sense of community around that idea.” -Dan Peeke
